Mishicot’s 26th Annual Pumpkinfest will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2013. This celebration of the fall harvest is sponsored by the Mishicot Area Growth & Improvement Committee (M.A.G.I.C.). M.A.G.I.C. invites the public to enter our pumpkin contests:
•Pumpkin Carving/Decorating—Bring pumpkins to the Mishicot Fire Station on Willow Drive between 9 and 10 a.m. Pumpkins are judged on originality, uniqueness, quality, and overall appearance. The top three in each division (six divisions defined by age group) will win a cash prize.
•Giant Pumpkin Growers Weigh-Off and More --- giant pumpkins will be weighed at the Mishicot Country Store, 150 East Main Street. Unloading and registration begins at 8 a.m. Weighing begins at approximately 1 p.m. Plaques, ribbons, and cash prizes will be awarded.

•Pumpkin Baking Contest—Categories are pies, bars/cookies, breads/muffins, decorated cookies, and decorated cakes. Pumpkin must be a main ingredient in all but the decorated category. Cakes and cookies should be decorated for the season. Bring your best recipes to the Mishicot Village Hall, 511 East Main Street, by 10 a.m.

Entries are also sought for our parade at noon. Line up between 11 and 11:30 a.m. at the Mishicot Elementary School on Woodlawn Drive. Parade entrants must abide by village ordinances posted online at www.mishicot.org under the Calendar link for Pumpkinfest.
