Living Well with Diabetes

Note: This workshop is open to everyone.
If you are an adult living with type 2 diabetes, Living Well with Diabetes can help you manage your condition. During this workshop, you’ll learn practical ways to deal with the symptoms of diabetes like fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia, stress and emotional problems like depression, anger, fear and frustration.
• Appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength and endurance.
• Healthy eating choices.
• Appropriate use of medication.
• How to work more effectively with health care providers.
This course uses a manual developed by the Stanford Patient Education Research Center. It is led by two trained volunteers, one or both of whom have diabetes themselves. This workshop is not intended to conflict or replace existing programs or treatments.
