Lawrence University's Wriston Art Center welcomes three new installations. The Leech Gallery will feature "Man Up! Masculine Archetypes in Visual Art." Drawn from works in Lawrence's permanent collection, the exhibition focuses on gender constructs present in U.S. society. The work of Shawn Sheehy, a book artist, will be shown in the Hoffmaster Gallery in the exhibition "2D. 3D. 4D. 5D?" Sheehy discusses his work in a free lecture Thursday, April 10. Sculpture artist Carol Emmons' work will be showcased in the Kohler Gallery in the installation "Cosmogony 2.0." An art professor at UW-Green Bay, Emmons discusses her work in a lecture Friday, April 4. The exhibitions are free and open to the public. Wriston Art Center hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from noon – 4 p.m. The galleries are closed on Mondays.
