Prospera Credit Union results from a 1934 grass roots effort of George Banta Publishing Company Employees of Menasha, WI. The goal was to provide financial support to each other through the formation of a financial cooperative called Banta Credit Union. It began by operating out of a converted proofreading booth in the Banta Company's facilities.

The membership continued to grow during the 80's and 90's and in 1998 the membership supported the credit union in adding "community" to its name, becoming Banta Community Credit Union.

Banta Community Credit Union became Prospera Credit Union. In addition, the credit union expanded the charter to individuals living or working in Brown County in 2003. Now boasting $147 million in assets, over 15,000 members, your credit union is poised to continue its growth and value to the community.
